Cardinal Engineering Associates Inc. is a Connecticut-based firm centrally located in Meriden, giving us easy access to our clients statewide.
Our multi-disciplined technical staff with diverse backgrounds and specializations includes seven licensed civil engineers, two Connecticut-licensed land surveyors, three graduate engineers with EIT certificates, and a support staff of engineering technicians, CAD operators and construction inspectors with an average of more than 25 years of experience.
Cardinal Engineering Associates is a certified SBE in the State of Connecticut with Professional Engineers registered in CT, NH, ME, MD, MA, NY, RI and VA.  It's All About Communication
As a business partner, Cardinal has always been, and remains, committed to our clients and their long-term success. Joseph A Cermola, PE, LS: President, Founding Partner & Principal-in-Charge
With nearly 50 years , professional engineering experience, Joe has been involved in every type of project the firm handles from problem analysis to construction. He served for many years as the Chairman of the State Board of Registration for Engineers and Land Surveyors, and for the past 20 years has been a director of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority. He is the co-author of the SWMM Application to Combined Sewerage in New Haven.
Joseph A Cermola III, PE: Vice President
As a partner, Joseph supervises design engineers, manages work-in-progress, is liaison between owners and contractors as well as supervises resident engineering staff and contract administration. During his 20 years of experience with all aspects of Civil Engineering, he has been responsible for multiple long-term municipal projects for Connecticut cities and towns.
