Industrial Site Planning - Cheshire, CT Cheshire Industrial Park
Cardinal Engineering Associates was retained by The Farmington Industrial Park Corporation to design an industrial park in the Town of Cheshire. This project involved the subdivision of 350 acres of farmland into a campus-style industrial park with 13 large industrial lots. Cardinal Engineering was responsible for all engineering services for this development from the survey phase through the design. A 5,500 linear- foot industrial road with a complete storm drainage system was designed for heavy truck loads. Cardinal also designed a sanitary sewer system as well as other utilities such as water and gas mains. Cardinal also designed site plans for many individual lots within the development. This work included site planning, the design of entrance roads and parking facilities, stormwater management, environmental permitting, subsurface soil investigations, easement mapping, and the design of site utilities. This development is now the home of several major industrial corporations.
